can you explain what it is exactly i know its to do with children who have disabilities ..i have a quiestion i need to answer:

  2. special educational needs co-coordinator.not just kids with disabilities,but kids with other problems,any form of abuse,speech impediment,hearing problems or dyslexia.even the birth of anew sibling could cause the child the need of extra attention.

  3. Special Educational Needs Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a setting is following the SEN Code of Practice and is actively ensuring a child is fully included safely and suitably.

    They set up and monitor Individual Educational Plans and Statements (if neccessary).

    They liase with professionals and parents to provide care and education that is tailored to the child's individual needs.

    It's not just children with 'disabilities'...it's any child who needs support to access the mainstream curriculum.

    -Let them choose how they play-eg: if you want them to make a bus but they want a rocket then respect their individuality.

    In terms of SEN

    1) Treat them as a child not a problem!

    2) Ensure that they have opportunities to join in and are not being bullied!
