Send a thank you note for a job?

I applied for a job at my High School ( only seniors can) and when I went in for the interview the teacher hired me right away! I was so happy I said thank you 5 times!

My mom told me to make sure I send a thank u note after the interview, but since I got hired - do I still need 2 send one? I don't know what to say I don't want to sound stupid since I don't know how to say things professionally.

Should I send one?

What should I say?

To be honest, you are is high school, your teacher will be amazed you even sent a note. Keep it short and sincere.

" Thank you for the oppoutunty to ( whatever you got hired for) I am exited about working for/ with you."
