Fulham beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday, after a late winner from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philippe-Senderos-c29952 condemned the Latics to only their second defeat in their last eight Premier League games.
The win helped the Cottagers break into the top ten in the league table. They will now play four more games, before the season winds up.
However, a defeat for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 stunned Tottenham with a 1-0 win on the same night. Wigan are now only three points clear of the relegation zone, with just three more games

spot in the league table.
Fulham's manager, Martin Jol said in the post match interview, “It was not easy playing against them [Wigan]. We saw them play against the top sides and they did ever so well. They had zero corners, they had zero chances and they scored out of nothing so
it would have been harsh if we would have lost this game.”
The Cottagers started the game ominously and looked the better of the two teams in the opening ten minutes. However, they could have conceded an early goal, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-Di-Santo-c14060 went for the spectacular from a Maynor Figueroa’s ball, but his volley went wide
of the mark.
Fulham then played an indirect free-kick close to the box and the move culminated with Damien Duff smashing the ball off target.

A quiet spell of football was followed by a late strike from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordi-c19110 Gomez at the stroke of halftime, but his effort was well held by the Fulham goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer.
Wigan then threatened to score from a corner kick, five minutes into the second half, but Gomez side netted the ball with his header.
However, the Latics broke the deadlock in the 57th minute. Boyce hit a powerful low shot in the bottom right corner from 20 yards out, which was too much for the Whites goalkeeper to keep out.
Fulham responded immediately and grabbed the equalizer within a minute of the Wigan goal. Pogrebnyak found some space at the edge of the Latics area and comprehensively beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ali-Al-Habsi-c5041 with his left-footed strike to restore parity.
Fulham then went all out in the closing stages of the game in search of the winner and were rewarded in the 89th minute, as Senderos headed home a free-kick from Riise, to help his side achieve maximum points out of the game.
