Sending Brawl stages to friends?

Question

I was going to send a custom stage to a friend but it said that it would cost 1 point. What kind of points are these? I have 30 of them...what happens id they are all used up?

It's an allotment allowed by Nintendo to prevent an overload of the server.  I have sent stages / used points, but gained points back the following day.

I think that's just your daily limit for sending content over WiiConnect24.
