Sending a VHS tape through the mail ???

I'm sending my bf a vhs tape of one of his favorite comedians.

I purchased it through a thrift store.How exactly can i send this to him? I hear you can use something called "media mail",how does that work? do they give me a box? or should i just stick the tape in a flat rate priority envelop? or maybe even a legal sized yellow envelop,and pay the postage on that.What should i do? thanks :)

Don't put it in a priority mail envelope, or you'll have to pay priority mail rates. Put it in anything that will hold it, but I would suggest a padded envelope so it won't get smashed. Tell the clerk at the post office you want to send it media rate and that's what they will charge you. It's cheaper than first class.
