Tomorrow is my last day at work. I need some nice "lines" to help me write an email to about 450 people I have worked closely with. Any ideas?

  1. It would be difficult to send a personal message to that many people at once, so i would suggest that you make some general comments, such as "While I will be leaving, I will be taking a part of you with me and remember you always.  I will specially remember the -----say something like office party when we celebrated John'ss retirement--- or something that includes everyone, but is not embarrasing to any.

then, if you have personal comments, send individual e-mails, noting the person by name, and is possible, a memory or event you shared with that particular person.

Be careful if you BCC to anyone, that the message is general enough to be personal but crude or rude.

If you like, suggest to keep in touch and give an e-mail address. but remember, if you do so, plan on keeping up the contacts and not blow them off, after you leave.

  2. I wish that I could write to each of you individually to let you know what a great experience it has been working with you  during my tenure here at_________, but because this is such a great organization there are over 450 people who have immensely been great to work with.

  3. You should use some nice stationary to e-mail them.

  4. How has the end of your tenure with this company come about?  That will make a difference.  I had a similar situation come up recently and I was actually asked to write a letter for our monthly magazine.  Wow, was that difficult.  First of all, I was happy to be going and second of all, the letter wouldn't be printed until one month after I was already gone.  I guess it all depends on your relationship with the company and if you have an environment where it is okay to be personal or not.  Please elaboroate.
