I need to send some important documents from London to Sri Lanka (Colombo). I am not too worried about how long it will take, however, i am very worried about them getting lost. How can get these documents across? Are courriers like DHL expensive? What are th e alternatives? One of the documents is my university degree, which will need a large envelope. Any advice will be welcome. Thank you.

  1. Call DHL give them the details, they will inform you about the cost ---etc

  2. www.dhl.com

You will find the price there.... and it is perfectly safe.

  3. I used to work for the Post Office, and they've got loads of options for valuable overseas stuff. Obviously, the more you're willing to pay, the more reliable it'll be. Just go to your local PO and have a chat with whoever's behind the counter. You have plenty of options regarding compensation - eg. if the documents getting lost would leave you with consequential losses (eg. a business contract that must arrive on time in order to secure a £10,000 deal), then you can have them insured for that amount, at a relatively small extra cost (eg. for £2 extra, the Post Office will give you £10,000 if they lose the documents). Good luck.
