Question:

Sending food ahead of time to hotel or resort?

I am going to Aruba in 2 weeks and we have a small kitchen in our unit. I was thinking about buying snacks and things for breakfast and lunch to save money but I was told by a few people that buying food and snacks down there can be really expensive. Someone had suggested to me to buy what we need here ( as long as it doesn't go bad) and then send it to our hotel ahead of time. I contacted the hotel and they gave all the info I need to send it out. Has anyone ever done this? If so, is it really any more beneficial then buying it directly on the island? Did you save a lot of time and money?

  1. It is not expensive enough to justify shipping food ahead of time.

I suggest packing some small light items that you would use, but would not use up a whole package of in 2 weeks.  For example, salt/pepper, spices, tea, coffee filters
