My parents told me i had to have a's and b's in school to get my license because it's the only way they can afford the insurance. I was wondering if you send in a copy of your grades to the insurance company, how they varify the grades. Do they just look at them or do they contact the school

  1. They do not contact the school. They take a copy of your most recent grades. There are other good reasons for getting good grades ;-)

  2. They look at the report card.

  3. One of the company's insurance underwriters will definitely check your grades if they seem that they might qualify you for a discount. I am not sure how they do this necessarily but when I was in high school they dropped my discount when I had a bad semester. And that was 1990. It has to be much easier to verify nowadays.
