Sending in a resume without an agent?

Question

I want to send in my head shot and resume I'm all set on both except I don't have an agent /agency or any kind of management other than my mother. What should I write on that part of my resume should I put my moms name as management and her number ?

If they like what they see in the pic and your resume, it really doesn't matter. They will call you. If not..... It can't hurt to pretend your Mom is a manager.  Maybe use a diff last name if you're worried.  Before I had an agent I submit myself without one and actually got my SAG card that way.    Good Luck.

No, I would simply list your own name and number. If they do call you in they soon enough will find out that you do not have "real" representation and it will just make you look bad.  

Agent submissions come in differently then self submissions and in casting offices we always can tell which is which. Remember that most top casting directors actually know who the different agents and mangers that are licensed are. If they don't recognize the managers name it won't mean anything to them anyhow. Don't try to pull a fast one. Honesty is always your best policy when it comes to this.

First off, you don't need to list a manager on your resume. A single contact phone number and possibly an e-mail address will do. And don't include an address unless you have a P.O. box; you have no idea whose hands your resume could wind up in.

Second, who are you sending this to? Unsolicited resumes and headshots usually end up in the trash, whoever the intended recipient is, no matter how impressive they look. Only send yours to someone if you've been specifically asked to, either personally or through a casting notice of some sort.
