  1. Are you sure that the 2 boxes are under the weight limit and not over? That may be a problem.

  2. A minimum of 2 weeks, never send cash, all mail is regularly opend and checked by the VN customs.

I also forgot about tet,it may take up to 4 weeks,so no need to worryyet.

  3. If you sent the boxes by U.S. Mail, you could be in for some bad news. I've had packages lost or delivery delayed for weeks to my then fiancee' (who is now my wife). The best thing to do is have your fiancee' check with all of the post offices in her city to see if they can locate it. My wife located packages that I had sent months earlier in a post office on the opposite side of Hanoi from where she lived.

In the future, use DHL to send anything important to Vietnam. They are by far the best service to get anything anywhere in Vietnam. The founder of DHL is a Vietnam Veteran, so he has a personal interest in the country.

Good luck to you and Happy Tet!

  4. The two-week time span has been reached. Call your fiance again to see if the boxes have arrived.

  5. my friend in boston once sent me a greeting card and it took me 3 and a half weeks to get it.

don't worry, the boxes come late maybe due to Lunar New Year holiday.

  6. usually takes about 2 weeks to vietnam, if anything has been banned sent will takes longer
