Sending mail using USPS?

I want to send a bracelet in a envelope using USPS. Can I just go to the USPS post office and drop of the envelope in the blue mail box? this:

or do i have to go to someone in the USPS post office and give it to them and and pay extra for shipping to give it someone in another state or a few miles away from me?

  1. You can send that bracelet in a secure envelope but you should insure it first.  Just ask them at the Post Office and they will direct you in what to do.


  2. Place it in bubble wrap and tape around the edges place it inside their mailer and have them weigh it and if it is of some value insure it.

    that simple.
