  1. western union is fast and very easy to do. and they have the option to receive the cash in $US. it is more expensive than other remittance services. i believe it is $12 for $300 and below and it goes up the more money u send. the exchange rate will also be few cents lower. Moneygram is another option, it is also fast, 10 min and the money is there ready to be picked up. cheaper than western union at $9.00 for $499 and below and has better exchange rate. they can pick up the money at a participating bank in Php. downside of moneygram, the wait at the bank could be over an hour.  and obviously you cant pick up the money during weekends and after banking hours. you may also get one of those prepaid visa card/mastercard and get a 2nd  (extension) card and send it to the philippines, u can load cash into the card and they can withdraw it from any atm that accepts visa or mastercard. or you could do the PNB way, its 2-3 days before they recieve the money but they have the best rates. PNB is good choice if u reguarly send money. for a one time thing, id recommend western union or moneygram.

  2. Don't do it maybe its a scam.

  3. Smart Padala

  4. If you are in the U.S., open a bank account then send the ATM Debit Card to the Philippines so they can withdraw money as soon as your deposit in that bank is credited.  Usually the Debit Card is Visa and there's a lot of Visa ATMs in the Philippines.

  5. My wife uses Citibank Global Transfers.  Basically, you go to a Citibank office, fill out some forms, they dispatch from Citibank Manila an ATM card to your recipient (by courier).  The recipient gives you the card number and you transfer money as you wish.  $8 fee per transfer, but the money is available immediately.

You don't have any way to check balances or anything since the card and the PIN go to the recipient.  This method has worked flawlessly for us for about a year now.

You can make transfers from any Citibank ATM, and maybe their online Global Transfers is back up whereby you can initiate the transfer online.  I'm not sure about that.

    Good Luck

  6. also through remittance that the people in the philippines can claim at any banco de oro branch (there are also BDO branches inside the malls for easier accessibility).it's fast.tried and tested.

  7. western union or Globe G cash

  8. im in florida and i always use moneygram coz aside from it being inexpensive i also get discounts , the rate to send $500 below is $9.46 at all walmart stores but since i send money alot i got like a $1 discount through thier membership thingy, they will send u paperwork to fill out after uve sent money twice i think, then your discount will start going up.

my mom usually pics it up after 10 mins if she's really in a hurry or she just waits the following day , she can go to Equitable PCI Bank, Banco De Oro, Cebuana Lhuiller, Allied Bank, Pryce, RD Pawnshop but she always picks money up at RD pawnshop since there's one just across the street from my house.

another option is Western Union but just like what everybody else said the fee is a little bit more than moneygram so its really up to u.
