Question:

Sending one Projected image 2 opposite ways...?

I'm doing a show coming up in 4 weeks where I need 2 video projectors and 2 slide projectors. The problem is I only have one video projector and the department doesn't have enough money to rent another one for 2 weeks (it would cost a thousand/week). Is there any accessory that I could rent for cheaper that has the ability to shoot 1 projected image in 2 opposite directions?

  1. Doubtful. One compromise might be to have one projected image and a couple of images on TVs that are strategically placed throughout the room. Kind of like how Al Gore had his stage setup in An Inconvenient Truth. He had the one big projected image in the back of the stage and a couple of flat-screen monitors closer to the crowd.

  2. This is just a guess, but perhaps there's such a thing as a professional-quality half-silvered mirror, also known as one-way glass, or a beam splitter. I suggest you search on those terms.
