I don't care for heavy metal either, but Zeppelin would be my choice otherwise. I grew up when heavy metal was really liked by a lot of people, but not me. It is annoying, was to me even at 18.

Never really was into Heavy Metal music. Too much loud noise and guitar riffs.

Does Queen and Freddie Mercury count? He could get into it, but also tone it down. I could listen all day to Freddie. He is truly missed, and who knows what more he had to offer in his music.  

Wait I guess I would also have to include Santana and his guitar playing. But I would not consider him Heavy Metal. How about Jimmy Hendrix, he used to make that guitar sing.
