  1. whoa... the studio should've gone over all of that with you.  You may want to call in the morning and ask what you need to bring and if you are not prepared to bring your own clothing, you may need to ask to reschedule!

Normally, portrait studios do not provide the clothing.  The only time they might is if you are doing headshots where you are required to wear a tux (if you are a guy) or a drape (if you are a girl).

The procedure depends on the session you are having.  If you are having a session with two or three outfits bring three or four.  It's always best to bring too much rather than not enough.  When you are choosing clothing, try to choose a nice variety while staying away from busy patterns.  So for example, don't bring four blue outfits, the photographer won't be able to give you as much variety.

At the studio I work at this is what we do:

Senior walks in and is shown to the dressing room.  We ask them to put on the outfit that they want to wear for headshots and lay out the rest of the outfits so the photographer can see what else they have brought.  While the student is dressing, we have mom or dad come out to the lobby and take care of any balances owed up to this point.  We then let the photographer know their session is ready.  The photographer meets with the senior in the dressing room for a quick consult and then begins the session....

    Good Luck!

  2. they usually give you the top portion. So it really doesn't matter waht you wear, just focus that hair and face are nice.

  3. they'll do the shoot with you wearing what you wore in. so wear something o.k. it doesn't have to be very nice really, they will focus more on your face and hair...

they may help you with your makeup (female?)

i know of no studios that have extra clothing to loan for photo shoots

  4. It depends upon what your schools yearbook committee has decided. Some schools allow you to wear your own clothing, some require the uniformity of drapes and tuxes. The paperwork accompanying your appointment notice should have told you that. Tuxes, drapes and caps and gowns are provided by the studio. Many studios will offer a deluxe sitting in addition to the yearbook required shots. In that case they will tell you how many outfits of your own you should bring. If this is not clearly outlined in your paper work, you should call the studio to verify this information.

  5. It depends on what types of photos you are taking. If you are taking the cap and gown photos, YES, they do have those for you to put on just for the photo.

If you are doing individual, fun, specific pics, you are allowed to wear what you want, maybe even do some photos outdoors, bring anything you like, like your letter jacket, or if you play an instrument, etc.  These are your senior pics and you can make them as creative as possible.
