Senior prom/formal makeup,,

Question for thoose who get their formal makeup done at a MAC makeup boutique. i live in sydney and was thiking of getting my makeup done for senior prom there too , do i have to go too the counters in MYER/ Dj''s? and will qualified makeup artists do it , becuz the workers at the counter obviously arent makeup artists,, and how many hours prior do you recommend i should get it done , my skin gets oily really fast so i was thiking an hour prior , but ive been warned agaist this, and finally how is it , are they any good?thanks alot for your answers ^^

  1. Unless my memory is faulty, one of my friends had her makeup done at the Body Shop, and apparently it was terrific.

    Do it about 3 hours prior, since the makeup would take a while to do. The makeup artists should know what to do to combat oiliness (translucent podwers, etc). And, stay in cooler areas. I havent had my Yr 12 formal, but for my yr 10, I kept fanning my face because I also have an oily face and was afraid my makeup would melt off or something :]

    Edit: Oh, plus I suggest you ring the store up or something, or go a few days beforehand to get things sorted out. Dont barge in on the day with no notice whatsoever. Go to the counter to ask them what they would do for formal makeup, and they should help you out. Have fun pretty!
