My husband and I are disabled, draw very small amounts from Gov. now they say because we are married, we draw to much.My husband was supposed to draw a little over $400.00,myself little over $800.00,now they say he draws more than he should,so they have cut his to $78.00.

They take enough away so it is impossible for us to get by.

SS. told us if we got a divorce and moved in different houses, his ck.would go up to $600.00,that was no help at all tell us what to do.

yet they are giving away our money to illegals who have never paid in anything.

  1. I think you need a lawyer!  If you can't afford one, your town may have a legal aid society that will help you.  There may also be a legal advocacy organization for people in your situation.  In any case, contact your Congressman.

It's a disgrace that Social Security is trying to break up a marriage, but it doesn't make sense anyway, since whatever increase your husband would receive would almost certainly be eaten up by the expense of a second residence.

  2. I am a lawyer. Believe me you have to find a way to OVERRIDE THE SYSTEM. This should be your goal!! Get a divorce right now and simultaneously make a will or testament, so you can cover or protect each other. Then in a while, (like in a couple of years) you can marry again. Do it right now!!!!

Just ask a lawyer in your area what i just told you.

See the funny side, you are going to be newlyweds.!!

Edit: Besides s.s. told you that.
