  2. Brushing therapy is a tecnique that helps children to concentrate & get their senses ready to learn. You should ask an Occuppational Therapist about how to do it. Because, it's very important to do it rigth... The brush can be bought on those teacher stores. However, I particular use the brush that is used to clean corn. It can be bougth in any store in the utensily area. It just costs $2.50.... You should brush just arms, legs, hands, feet, & back... The movement of the brush has to be firmed but not to hard. Just in one direction, usually from top to bottom. Brushing has to be done for 20 mins every 2 hours, for 2 weeks at the beginning. Then you reduce the frequency. It's recommended to do the brushing before therapy, school, when the child is nevious, etc... This tecnique also include compression....

  3. For those with sensory issues such as autistic they say that brushing and joint compresions help to calm them down when they are upset. What it is is a soft brush and you brush the arms from up to down, you do each arm and legs, or back depending on the child and if he or she lets you. I work with special educaiton and this is something that we do for their sensory needs.

  4. not sure if this will help but here is what i found on the internet... u can check it out.. goodluck
