Sent in Speeding Ticket payment late? How much trouble am I in?

So I was driving through Stark County, ND (during a move from MN to WA) when I got pulled over for speeding. The ticket states in small print near the bottom that I had 14 to mail in my payment/reply. 15 days later I mailed off the payment. Any ideas as to how much trouble I'm in or who I might be able to talk to to cool the fire?

  1. If you're fortunate, a grace period was granted.  Otherwise, your driving privileges may be suspended.  Contact the North Dakota DMV, or your home state.

  2. DEPENDS On the state. I'm i n Arizona they dont care unless  u pay if u dont  you will have a warrant out for Ur arrest in 1 month usually. call the place and see if they have received Ur payment. they want it they wont reject it. all it is just Ur time or Ur money ... America

  3. In my state a bench warrant is issued and your license is suspended until all fines and penalties imposed are paid.  But every state differs, look up ND's crimes code and see what the penalty is.

  4. Speeding tickets are not a joke.  If you do not pay them you will have a warrant out for your arrest for failure to appear.  If you get pulled over in your state chances are you will not get arrested but if you get pulled over in the state you got the ticket in more then likely you will get arrested depending on the radius of extradition on the warrant.  Plus an employer can check your record and see that you have a warrant and not hire your because of it.  To answer your question though I would call them and let them at least know the fine is on the way.  If they use common sense I am sure that it will be fine.

  5. SEND THEM NOTHING ! Out-of-state speeding tics R a JOKE: not worth the paper it's on (or the clown that wrote it )
