  1. Imagine that!  Cash taken from an envelope.  Contact the Postal Inspector at the local Post Office.

  2. I would suggest not to do it again.

  3. Did you send cash? If so, you are out of luck. You are never supposed to send cash through the mail. If not, you can call whoever you purchased the money order/cashier check from and tell them that it has been lost.

There is no way to really determine what might have happened. Letters get lost in the mail all the time. Thats why people buy insurance. You could have written the address wrong. It might have been stolen by the mail man, or someone else might have stolen it out of the mail box. There are just too many possibilities to guess.

  4. may be there...but u should confirm that first. And then take the step.

  5. it's ironic on how many packages go missing every day thru usps.  I work for an online retailer, we are always reshipping usps deliveries

  6. yeah many people question the USPS

and maybe it is but there are people who go through peoples mailboxes and look for checks to highjack, it happened in my neighborhood

i suggest next time that you send money  like a check or cash, use a bigger envelope and put it in a three fold piece of white paper so that if someone is trying to look for money they will think its a letter and not money and they will probably leave it alone
