Sentaril hot favourite for Tyregiant.com Summer Stakes
Sentaril has got a great chance of winning the Tyregiant.com Summer Stakes (Group 3) at York in England on Friday, July 13, 2012. The winner of the important class-1 event will be awarded a cash prize of £32,560.
The track was good, but rain has left a few areas soft as well, which will make things difficult for some runners. A total of 12 entries have been named for the 6 furlong event, which will start at 14:35 GMT.
Looking at the overall record of all runners, it seems that Sentaril will be hard to beat at the end of the day, as she likes such conditions. She is a very good runner and has the ability to match the best in the business. This is why the bookies have given
her a starting price of 6 to 4 and the punters should also not risk many bets against her, as it will not be a clever idea.
The three-year-old filly does not have a lot of experience, as she has participated in only three events until now. However, her performances in them have been worth mentioning, as she has been pretty much impressive.
In April 2012, the William Haggas’ trainee first appeared on the scene at Newbury. She entered that event with a starting price of 15 to 2 and was up against some highly competitive runners. Despite that, she was absolutely dominant from the start until
the end and finished eight lengths ahead of the runner up, Ensejaam.
After such a complete performance from the young filly, the bookies rated her as the favourite to prevail in her second race as well. She lived up to their expectations and won by five lengths this time around. The track was good to soft in that event, which
shows that she does not have any issues with such conditions.
However, the real challenge for Sentaril came in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot, where she was priced 5 to 1. Although she failed to deliver a winning run back then, yet her performance was not bad at all, as she secured the runner up spot by one length.
Kelly Harrison will be the one partnering Danehill Dancer's daughter today. The pair will be seen together for the first time.
