What is the proper way of ending a sentence, which is in parenthesis, when there is something at the end of it which also is in parenthesis?

Example: (As a student, I will generally be limited to the weekends and small events in the late afternoon (3-6PM))

Should it end as "(3-6PM).)", "(3-6PM.))", or just "(3-6PM.)" with only one parenthesis?

  1. If I saw the context of this sentence I could tell you if you even need the first parenthesis.  Otherwise I would suggest (As a student I will generally be limited to weekends and small events in the late afternoon; 3-6pm)

  2. usually it would be "(3-6PM))."

  3. (As a student, I will generally be limited to the weekends and small events in the late afternoon between 3-6PM)

(As a student, I will generally be limited to the weekends and small events in the late afternoon - 3 to 6PM)

  4. I think I've seen it where you use a different symbol entirely for the sub-parenthesis.  Like (As a student, I will generally be limited to the weekends and small events in the late afternoon [3-6 pm])
