Sentencing on a kidnapping charge??

ok, so ya my friend fell inlove online with someone pretending to be 22 and hes 38. she lives in quebec, and shes actually 15...

they talked like every night for 2 years, she went to visit him for thanksgiving in the first year, and nothing happened because he likes moving slow, hes been hurt so many times. So then, they decide shes going to go live with him in bc...I know for a fact that he didnt kidnap her, cause i talked to him along their entire relationship right

some people say, cant he tell she was so young. not all teens look their age, and you know it. especially with makeup. so anyway, he flew to go get her over his christmas break, and flew back to bc with her...about 2 weeks later he was arrested and thrown in jail for kidnapping...in bc all she did was stand up for him saying that it was all her and whatnot. when they got back to montreal, she changed her story and he was found guilty, and is now labeled as a pedophile and kidnapper...right now hes waiting for his sentencing

is there something i can do, cause i know he didnt kidnap her

He IS a pediphile and a kidnapper... he's an adult, she is a child.

Personally, I don't believe that there was no s*x... but, it doesn't matter.

I just finished a trial like this. The defendant got life in prison.

That's what this guy deserves.

He's a sicko.

First off what's wrong with this girls parents that they let her be unaccounted for while she travels out of the country. Second your friend should have known she was under 18 if she was only 15. Kidnapping is usually life in prison unless you get a deal. They not knowing a girls age, even if she decieved you, is not an excuse.

Legally he did perhaps not morally but legally. It is against the law for a man to take a girl under 18 over a state or country line for purpose of have sexual relations with her.

So even if she said yes she wanted to go, even if she said yes I will have s*x with you it is still kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct.
