If both of the babies that my guinea pig had are boys *she only had two* do you have to separate them from the mother? or can you just leave them together until they are 7 weeks old? I am keeping both babies, and they will be "going to live" with the dad. I bought three guinea pigs from a lady and then found out, the other night that she was pregnant, and then to find out the next day she had already had them! I AM NOT BREEDING THEM it was an accident, and i am getting the male neutered and they are separated right now, so no more babies will happen.

  1. you should seprate them when they are 3weeks old because my friend left them in there and they got the mom pregnant.

  2. they need to be out at 2 weeks, thats when they start to jump their mum! seen it happen to many times, they should be fine if you put the boys with their father until they are ready to go

  3. No.

Take them out at 4-5wks, otherwise they will mate will the mummy and have more babies... but if it's 2 girlies, you can leave them. 2 males, father.

xx Be careful when introducing xx

  4. Yes, the males need to be separated from their mother by 3 weeks of age or they will be able to impregnate her.
