  1. U asked, "do you think its okay that humanity is still dividing itself into races?"

I say , "NO.  I thinks it's okay to know the differences between people and races, but it's not okay to say that one person is better than another because of their differences."

U asked, "when will we all accept all as equals, all races, all sexes and preferences, and work together in order for civilization to evolve?"

I say, "I know it'll happen someday, but not in my lifetime.  I think the first step is to tell everyone the world over to tell their kids that everybody is different, but different is good.  Tell your kids that every single human being is equal under the eyes of God, Allah, or whatever supreme being you pray to.  If you don't belive in a supreme being, you can still tell them we are all equal, an that no one has the right to judge you because you're different.  And tell your kids that we are supposed to treat each other fairly, justly, and not by the fact that they are different from you.  Then tell your kids to pass that on to their kids, then to their kids, then on and on and on.  Then maybe people will believe that human beings should see each other as brothers and sisters.  Not as blacks, white, Asians, hetersexual, homosexuals or any other classification of human being we use today.

    "That's just my idea though."

  2. We're in the process of doing just that.

More and more people understand that all humans are human.

It's just taking a lot longer than one would wish.

  3. The biggest problem with people attempting to classify humans by race is that they believe there is more than one group.  The human race is a singular concept.  It's not the "human races."

The urge do divide and classify (things and people) is a natural part of the human brain.  It helps us understand our world better.  We can classify by phenotype (appearance), ethnicity, gender, height, religion, etc...  However, the concept of classifying ourselves by race is pointless, as there is only a singular race.

Even so, grouping things to better understand our world is not necessarily a bad thing.  However making unfair or arbitrary judgments about any particular group can definitely lead to a lack of acceptance within our society as a whole.

  4. no, and the worst part is that alot of us dont realize it. You notice that today it's not only gender and race that we are dividing. Now we are separating ourselves by kinds. I don't think we will ever stop dividing because it's just our way of life.

  5. it will never happen..there will ALWAYS be some idiot who wants to make an issue becouse they are a certain color and they either deserve something because of their color..or they just want to br noticed so they can have their 15 minutes of fame...if this wasnt an issue than why do we have..african americans..irish american..german americans..why cant we just have americans..because the various races dont want that..they want to be seperately recognized for what they or there anscesters are...no matter how long they have lived in this country...no matter what country the various races migrate to..those people still want to bring their country with them...

  6. I don't think there will ever be equality because the people who run this world and our government want us to focus on stuff like race, class, religion so we don't pay attention to the real issues.  There will always be the haves and have-nots.  Look at society today, we are always separating ourselves from others in some kind of way.  Racially, socially, economically, religiously and we find more ways to separate everyday. Educated vs uneducated; skinny vs fat; north vs south.  If we were all the same color and weight, we would be on some BS like big feet people against little feet people; long hair vs short hair. And the government & media promote this seperatism so it won't ever end.

  7. You used the right words in your basic question:

    "Separating OURSELVES"

NOT the government or anyone else separating us, but separating OURSELVES.

People naturally WANT to associate with those who have customs, behavior patterns, beliefs and ideals in common with themselves.  It is a natural thing to want to socialize on common ground, and common ground is most often found among one's own demographic group - whatever it may be.

When politcally correct mandates throw incompatible personalities together, by forced decree, the inevitable result is resentment and discord.

You can take a group of African American women who are having a rousing discussion on the opportunities and obstacles for black women in their local job market, a group of white guys who are having a good time discussing antique cars and a group of Hispanics who are seriously discussing the political situation in one of the South American countries, break these groups all up and force them to intermingle in even proportions, but how many of them will socially enjoy the experience?

What would you end up with - three discussion groups hashing out the opportunities for black career women who own antique cars in tropical banana republics?  If they had wanted to intermingle, clearly, they'd have sone so in the first place.

We hear a lot of fuss and cry about skin color, but more often than not it is PSYCHO/EMOTIONAL rather than physical differences that separate groups, culturally.  My father called this to my attention when southern high school and college integration was a major issue in the late 50s or early 60s.  He pointed out that there were 4 or 5 students from India or Pakistan, attending one of the schools involved, who had skin much darker than that of the Afro-American students the locals were fighting to keep out - and no one was objecting to THEIR presence.

On the one hand, the "politically correct" crowd lauds and praises human diversity, while on the other hand they try to enforce social uniformity.  They are trying to have their socio/cultural cake and eat it too.  Life just doesn't work that way.

Human nature is like one of those hydraulic door-closers.  It does its own thing in its own time and trying to force it just creates back-pressure and defeats the purpose - ultimately making the door take much longer to close than if it had been left alone.

OF COURSE people should all be considered EQUAL, anything less can NEVER be acceptable(!!!) but EQUAL and SAME are two different words with two different meanings!

  8. It is natural to stick with your own race but i think we kind of are making a lot of progress. at least here in america.

  9. We are not races, we are one race, divided into nations by our respective countries.

  10. Of course it's not ok, it just is, When? not in your lifetime, not in mine.........someday

  11. I was under the impression that cultural and ethnic diversity was something that added to the human experiance...
