September wedding theme ideas

If you were getting married in september what colors would you choose? I really don't want a fall theme is argument at the moment. (Orange is one of my least fav colors) If anyone can suggest ideas as to what they would do that may guide me in a different direction than a pumpkin leafy theme that would be soo very helpful. Thanks so much in advance!!

  1. skip the theme and just go for colors you like

a classical and elegant look of black and white with a  pop of one color like navy, red or hot pink

bold and glittery of a dark blue and silver for a night wedding

you can use any colors you want, regardless of season, and you only have to have a theme if you want!

  2. I had a september wedding.  My colors where red...not bright red more like a burgendy.  I had of course my white dress and I carried a bouquet of red roses.  The bridesmaids can where ivory dresses with red sashes around the waist.

  3. I want to get married in September its so beautiful. Champagne or Clover Green are two perfect colors! Pick one of the other or pair them together. For flowers pick white roses or white lillies and make the sash around them one of the two above colors. For centerpieces,  (champagne color theme) try peaches in a wooden basket or (clover green color theme) pears or green apples in a wooden basket. You can also get a bowl and fill half with water and floating flower candles on top. It will accent your wedding for sure. The idea is simple, romantic, and will make your guests feel in between summer and fall. Congratulations!

  4. I would shy away from pastels- try bold colors- Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, Turquoise and if you like pair them with a Mocha or Chocolate. I would say pick your colors by looking through wedding flower pictures. Weddingbycolor.com is my fave site! Lots of ideas. I personally fell in love with a sunflower and red carnations arrangement I saw in publix the other day...But I do love an dried hydrangea with the purple and turqouise look paired with red roses.

  5. I'm marrying October 11 and I wanted something autumnal, but not in-your-face autumnal.  So my gown is ivory with a champagne drape and my flowers will be leonidas and light peach roses with some chocolate cosmos and red hypericum berries.  It's in the same family as autumn leaves, but far more muted.

  6. I got married Sept 20 of 2003 and my colors were  royal blue ( yamaha blue according to hubby) silver and white.  It was beautiful.

  7. September is a tricky month.....but I def. would not consider it fall. I would not go with a summery theme, but probably a summery color. Do whatever color you want/have always wanted/or invision. An aqua would be nice or a clover green. Go online to Davids Bridal....they have a whole color list thing with a lot of really nice colors. Hope I helped and Best Wishes!

  8. Don't worry about the time of year, do what you want. My personal favorite  color schemes are red and white: purple, white, and light blue: silver and white: and pink and   orange(which i guess you wouldn't like) I also like other themes like heavenly or paris. Have fun at your wedding, pick whatever makes you happy

  9. I don't think this is a month where a seasonal theme fits in. It is summer and fall in this month. You could pretty much choose anything! Colors you like, or maybe focus on a shape like polka dots or stars, just really anything you like, including summer or fall themes would fit in.

I got married to my ex husband in September and my colors were hot pink and royal blue.

My sister is getting married this September, and her colors are lime green, lemon yellow, and aqua.

  10. Royal blue with silver, dark purple and dark green, black and white (my personal fav) or red are all great color schemes.

  11. Any colors would be fine! Choose your favorite color and pair it up with another. It's your wedding. It doesn't matter when you have your wedding to choose your colors. There are great color combos out there! Teal and Brown, Pink and Brown, Lilac and White, Burgundy, Black, and White...so many to choose from. You don't have to be traditional to September. (I actually think the fall theme is icky...oranges and greens and reds...ewww) You'll feel like you should dress up like a scarecrow! Good luck!
