  1. Kitchen line closest to one to the septic main line?

Have you had the septic tank emptied since you have lived there?

Maybe you just need a plumber to install a breather in the line.

  2. Do you have a dishwasher? Typically there is a vent installed at the kitchen sink to accommodate a dishwasher drain. This is an easily replaceable item. Find it and replace it. If it is stuck, the dishwasher is sucking the water out of the sink trap, allowing sewer gasses to emit from the drain.

  3. the only way to get sewer smell in the house is if the trap under the sink has gone dry or lost some water breaking the water seal i would first check that for leaks or any problems if everything looks normal then i would check outside. on your roof you have plumbing vents.  right above the kitchen sink there should be a vent on the roof.  I would visually check to make sure nothing is blocking it .  all fixtures need air behind them to flow.  thats why we install vents.  when a vent gets blocked  the weight of the water siphons water out of traps allowing the seal to be broken and let gas into your house.  and if you have an accesible roof and you are up to the task i would suggest running your garden hose down the vent stack just to make sure its clear.  if none of these things work it could be you simply have a hole somewhere in your vents in the kitchen allowing  the gas in. have you put up cabinets recently or done anything where you could have punctured the pipe with a s***w or nail

  4. i will guess to say that you have a clogged sewer vent or lack there of....
