I don't want to give too much away, so let me just say that Septimus gets stolen away to a Time 500 years before his own, so that he can help this one dude out with a special potion. Jenna, Snorri, (a new character) Ullr, (also new) Nicko, Wolf Boy, and Spit Fyre search for Septimus, asking help from anyone they can. You can guess that eventually they get Septimus back, but I'll leave you to wonder (and/or read Physik) about how they get to that point.
