Septuplets!?! (7!)?

Question

( re posting it because i put it in the wrong catagory)

my husband and i recently found out that i am pregnant with sextuplets! i just am in total shock. i have gotten support from family and friends which is wonderful. my best friend is offering to stay with us to help out, same with my mom and my husbands parents. im 23 and these will be our first ( and definaltly last :) children), so this is very scary for me., but i am also very happy and excited. we are well off so we know we will do fine, but i am still freaking out!

i have even thought of contacting jon and kate ( jon and kate plus 8, TLC) :)

i need some advice fomr anyone, even parents who have multiples.

wat is it like. wat are some cute names.

any advice is truly appreciated.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice to give but I do want to wish you the best of luck and as much comfort as possible throughout your pregnancy. I'm happy that you have family and friends willing to help out.

Contact everyone you can think of, including Oprah and Dr Phil, both of whom gave tangible help to Kate & John.  You need all the help you can get.

Hate to "hang crepe", but I would wait until doctor and I were fairly sure of  babies' survival.

Heh.  If you are really pregant with septuplets, 'cute names' would be the last thing on your mind.  You'd be much more concerned with things like

1) How to pass the time during the 3-5 months you will need to spend on bedrest. (And how to pay your bills while you are off work all that time.)

2)  How to fund the millions of dollars in costs you are going to run up during the months your babies spend in the NICU.

3)  How to reduce the VERY high risk of having a miscarriage, or delivering so early that none of the babies could possibly survive.

4) Suing the doctor who supervised your fertility treatments/IVF and allowed you to continue the treatments when you had 7+ eggs and/or put back 7+ embryos during your IVF cycle. (See #2.)

Be prepared for early bedrest, premies, and probably not 7 healthy kids. Sorry, the odds are really against all 7 making it. There were only 33 sets that all lived worldwide a couple years ago, maybe that number's gone up by a couple. Even Jon and Kate's sextuplets started out as septuplets but they lost one on a christmas eve.
