Sequential stands first in Friday’s Coral On TV b*****s Trophy Final at Romford
The Coral On TV b*****s Trophy Final was the highlight of Romford’s Friday card. The audience was expecting a thrilling contest and the contenders lived up to the expectations.
After a close clash, Sequential managed to take an easy victory. The black b***h stopped the clock in just 24.11 seconds, outplaying Fancy Socks by two and a quarter lengths.
David Pruhs’ trainee held her dominance right through 400 metres, bagging a cash prize of £750. The spectators saw her showing furious speed at the break.
Soon after the beginning, the October-09 daughter of Hondo Black out of Jillaine Velvet achieved a decent lead. At the second bend, she stretched her advantage significantly, putting enormous pressure on the rest of the pack.
Her strategy to run on the inside rail of track helped the b***h keep things under control. Following a brilliant run, the black coloured defeated Fancy Socks, who was carrying the highest odds of 8 to 11.
The venue was due to stage three electrifying heats of the Tony Williams Marathon. The opening race was declared void due to an error, but it has been rescheduled to Monday. The remaining two competitions took place as planned, producing a lot of entertainment.
Heat two was dominated by Pennys Option, who was rated as joint favourite with the odds of 5 to 2. Honeypound Joe was the biggest threat, but J. Coleman’s trainee performed well to win it comfortably by 1 ¾ lengths.
The third heat saw Mercury Freddie displaying a fantastic show. The black dog outsmarted Mountjoy Orion to seal the top slot. After Monday’s race, the draws will be announced for next Friday’s finale.
In the CORAL.CO.UK Standard, M. Wallis’ trainee, Blonde Snapper, sealed an emphatic win, beating All For David by 6 ¾ lengths. The black dog was holding the highest odds of 1 to 2 and he didn’t let his supports down.
The last meeting of the day also belonged to M. Wallis. His trainee, Aero Joker, overcame Holy Ground to clinch a comfortable win in the CORAL.CO.UK Stayers. The 5-4 favourite b***h covered 575 metres in 35.45 seconds, winning the heat by three and a half
lengths.
