should i get a serbu shorty shotgun for self-defense? and dont give me any of that c**p about how "its not wise to use a class 3 gun to defend urself". it is my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. dont answer this question if u are a left wing hippie anti-gun liberal. short shotguns are easier to maneuver, also lighter. it carries about 4 shotgun shells in it, has a pistol grip, maybe i can fire it with one hand?

  1. Never heard of a Serbu shorty shotgun.....  I recommend the Mossberg 500 shotgun. Get a persuader cruiser model....

Is this what you have in mind???

Look over all Mossbergs offerings here.....

  2. Metropol

The Super Shorty by Serbu is a Mossberg with the barrel cut down to 6.5 inches

It would almost be a good CCW piece except that it just a little too big for most of the year and is illegal to carry in many states

    As for home defense

It's only short coming is that it only holds three rounds (2+1) and I seriously doubt that the average person could fire it one handed, that's why they put the forward pistol grip on it

I see no problem with shooting a home invader with an AOW or any other class3 weapon

A good shoot is a good shoot

What happens in your home will be infinitely more defendable than what happens on the street

  3. No, you shouldn't get one for either home or self defense. First off, why go out and get all the class 3 licensing or whatever then pay through the nose for it, when you can just go out and buy a fairly short barreled shotgun for much less without having to worry about getting a bunch of permits. Second, it isn't legal to just carry down the street so what use would it be for self-defence? Also, you can't just tell people they aren't allowed using a perfectly legitimate reason unless you have a really good reason to, which you don't. Just because it is your right doesn't mean it is instantly a good idea.

  4. The shotgun is always a great self-defense weapon.  Especially at home.  If you plan on getting a CCW (concealed weapons permit) I would recommend something smaller however like a snubbed nose revolver or a compact or subcompact frame semi-auto pistol.  Personally I like my CZ 40B .40S&W, however that is a full frame.
