Both sites are excellent. When I played Pokemon, I found Marriland helpful for walkthroughs or detailed stats on specific pokemon. On the other hand, Serebii is better when looking for people to trade or battle online as they have a live wi/fi chatroom.

Marriland also creates video walkthroughs and strategy guides on youtube under his channel name : "Marriland"

serebii is much easier to use than marriland in my opinion, marriland has some great qualities but tbh, id prefer to use serebii which is what i generally use because it has useful tips and many different areas that you can explore.
