Serene Oasis looking strong for winning Byrne Group Handicap
Serene Oasis will be looking to continue her good form in the sport, by succeeding in the Byrne Group Handicap at Kempton in England on Friday, August 17, 2012. She has done well in the 2012 season and things are looking good for her at the moment.
The young filly has not been rated as the favourite to win, as there are some very good runners up against her today. The bookmakers have shown a lot of confidence in the abilities of Oblitereigh, as he has been priced 6 to 4. His performance at Kempton
has been really good, thus the punters will be looking to place a lot of bets on him.
On the other hand, Serene Oasis will enter the class-4 event with a starting price of 10 to 1. Her team will be expecting her to be quick in the 7 furlong race, which will start at 20:55 GMT. A victory will earn the winner a cash prize of £4,075 in the end.
The three-year-old filly has participated in 18 races until now, winning three of them. In addition to that, she has finished as a runner up on four times whereas secured the third spot on five occasions.
The Mick Channon’s trainee debuted in August 2011 and was pretty much consistent from the start of her career. She finished third in her first ever outing and followed that up with three more similar results at different venues.
Although, the young runner was quite consistent, yet her team would have liked her to make an improvement. She finally did a slightly better job and secured a runner up place during that season. However, her best run came in October that year, as she brought
up her maiden victory that month.
There were a few inconsistent showings from Serene Oasis in the current season, but she improved with the passage of time and has been challenging her opponents for victory quite regularly.
The Irish filly has participated in just a couple of races at Kempton in the past, but was unable to win any of them. Today is a solid chance for her to achieve glory under jockey, Martin Harley.
