d**k Advocaat has explained why he has not signed a new contract with the Russian national team.

Media reports in Russia suggest that the Russian national team head coach, d**k Advocaat, is set to leave his managerial post after a possible conflict with Russian Football Union president, Sergei Fursenko.
Advocaat has penned a one-year contract with the Dutch side, PSV-Eindhoven, at the Philips stadium. The 64-year-old will reportedly step down as Russia boss in a bid to take managerial charge at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 in July.
If speculations are to be believed, Yuri Krasnozhan will replace Advocaat after the European tournament, Euro 2012.
Speaking on his decision to step down as Russia boss, Advocaat has conceded that he has made the decision himself, quashing the rumours suggesting that Fursenko has played a vital role in making up his mind for the decision.
The former Zenit St. Petersburg head coach went on to blast the media for making up such stories of a possible conflict between him and Fursenko, conceding that he has terminated the contract by mutual consent.
“With all due respect to Mr. Fursenko, I cannot afford to wait until the end of the tournament. They need to believe that they are working with a good coach and they have to remember that a good coach can have a bad tournament.”

Speaking on whether his decision will affect his team’s performances in the continental tournament, Advocaat has conceded that he needs support from the team members and from the stands in order to guide his side to progress from
the group stage.
Russia have been tied in arguably the most difficult group of the tournament as they face Czech Republic, Greece and Poland respectively.
Advocaat has urged the Russian Football Union to choose the next manager carefully. He urged them to appoint a Russian manager after the end of the tournament.
