The CSKA Moscow defender has expressed his satisfaction after the Russian national team held Uruguay at Lokomotiv stadium and has hailed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC’s Luis Suarez
Russian national team manager, d**k Advocaat, has made some surprise national team call-ups during this week.
The 64-year-old Dutch tactician has included CSKA Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marat-Izmailov-c23466 in the final 23-man squad ahead of the European tournament, Euro 2012.
The former Zenit St. Petersburg head coach had to leave Alexei Berezutsky and Lokomotiv Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Shishkin-c31646 after the two Russian defenders failed late fitness tests.
Berezutsky is recovering from a muscle injury while Shishkin is suffering from a stomach disease.
Advocaat, meanwhile, has excluded Spartak Moscow’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artem-Dzyuba-c6682 and Lokomotiv’s Magomed Ozdoyev from the final roaster in a bid to make room for the uncapped promising defender, Nababkin.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergei-Ignashevich-c32956 has hailed Advocaat’s decision to include Lisbon’s Marat Izmailov in the national team squad, admitting that the 29-year-old midfielder deserved to play in the upcoming continental tournament.
Ignashevich went on to admit that the Russian Super Cup winner has impressed him in the friendly match against Uruguay at Lokomotiv stadium on Friday. Russia managed to claim a 1-1 draw against the Olympic Sky Blue.
The fact that Izmailov, who has not played with the national team since 2006, will now play in the Euros delights Ignashevich, who has urged the prolific midfielder to show his class in Europe.
“It has been 7-8 years and I thought that we will not see Izmailov again. He was telling me that the last time the national team had called him was for the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 in 2006.” The UEFA Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Speaking on the Russia’s latest draw against Uruguay, Ignashevich has expressed his satisfaction upon the outcome. He has conceded that Uruguay have decent strikers and gave the example of Liverpool FC forward, Luis Suarez.
The Russian stopper has admitted that Suarez terrorized the Russian defence after scoring a fantastic goal in the second-half.
“Suarez created a lot of problems for us. He is amongst the top strikers at the moment.” Ignashevich concluded.
