Sergei Rebrov tips Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin to return to Russian Premier League - Football News
Dynamo Kyiv assistant manager, Sergei Rebrov, has urged Arsenal FC striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771, to leave Emirates stadium in the upcoming summer transfer window if he wants more first team action in the near future.
Arshavin made an instant impact after a reportedly 17 million Euro move to the London-based club. The 5ft 8in forward scored four goals in Arsenal’s 4-4 draw in the English Premier League tie against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809
FC at Anfield during his first season.
"To play football at home is a big plus for any player. He has been lucky to get a chance to play for a club like Arsenal and he was able to learn many things under Wenger. I remember when Arshavin scored four
goals. Arshavin immediately became a fan favorite. Unfortunately, he failed to meet expectation in the following seasons,” Rebrov was quoted as saying.
Arshavin, who spent six-month loan spell at Zenit St. Petersburg, returned to the English outfit in January after failing to impress at Petrovsky stadium.
Arsene Wenger sent Arshavin back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 thinking that it might help the Russian International rediscovering his old form. However, the idea did not work out and the 31-year-old winger returned to the London-based
club without any significant changes.
The out-of-form winger has made just 11 appearances in all competitions this season and managed to score his only goal for the club at the moment in the League cup tie against Coventry City at home.
If speculations are believed, Malaga wants to sign the Russian player on a free transfer this summer, knowing that Arshavin can provide depth to their squad and can arguably help the young members of the team
with his rich European experience.
News in Russian media has linked Arshavin to join West Brom Albion, stating that the Russian Cup winner wants to remain at the United Kingdom despite his shattered reputation recently.
Steve Clarke reportedly wants Arshavin to replace controversial striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 striker, Romelu
Lukaku, back to Stamford Bridge this summer.
