Luciano Spalletti has confirmed that the Russian International is likely to feature in almost every game until the end of the Russian Premier League campaign this season
Zenit St. Petersburg head coach, Luciano Spalletti, has confirmed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergei-Semak-c32976 will participate in the final of the Russian Cup despite knowing that the contract of the Russian International is going to end in May.
The Meshki managed to reach the semi-final of the cup competition after defeating Kuban Krasnodar on penalty shoot-out earlier this week. Zenit will now try to reach the final of the domestic cup after defeating Anzhi Makhachkala
at home next month.
The final of the domestic cup tournament will take place on July 1, while Semak’s contract at the St. Petersburg club will expire on May 31.
News in Russian media suggest that the defending league champions are in talks with the 37-year-old midfielder, who joined the Russian outfit for a record-breaking 20 million Euro fee from Rubin Kazan back in 2010, to continue
his career at Petrovsky stadium as a one of the general director at the club.
“I hope Semak will be all right until the final of the cup match. I have no doubt about the fact that he will play in this match. I assure you that I will make necessary adjustments to the squad in order to play the midfielder.”

Speaking on either Semak will take any management role inside Petrovsky, Spalletti was quick to shrug off the claims after saying that he has not heard of any settlement between the club and the former Paris Saint-Germain man.
“I do not know what has been discussed between the management of the club and the player but a player like Semak will do whatever he wants because he has rendered immense services at Zenit." He concluded.
Currently, Zenit are preparing for the next league tie against the Krasnodar-club at home on Sunday. As things stand, they are at the second-spot on the league table with 50 points and trail the top of the league table with just
six points.
