The former Dinamo Minsk player has urged his side to win the upcoming UEFA Europa League qualifier against Dundee United at Tannadice Park on Thursday
Dynamo Moscow head coach, Sergei Silkin, believes that he has got a balanced squad, which is capable of upsetting sterner opponents whether they are playing in the Russian Premier League or the UEFA Europa League.
The 51-year-old made these comments after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Samedov-c4609 and Andriy Voronin’s shocking departure from the club, last month. The aforementioned players left the Moscow-based club for Lokomotiv Moscow and Fortuna Dusseldorf, respectively,
after reportedly falling out with Silkin.
Though Voronin and Samedov remained tight lipped rather than to criticize their former manager, reports in Russian media suggest that the players argued over lack of playing time at the Moscow-based club.
Silkin assured the fans that he has a fabulous squad for the ongoing European and domestic campaign, insisting that the atmosphere in the locker room has changed ever since he parted company with the star duo.
The Russian tactician admitted that he is disappointed by the White-blues slow start to the league campaign. However, Silkin assured the fans that he is working extremley hard to alter the situation.
The Dinamiki kick started the league campaign with a 1-0 defeat against Volga Nizhny Novgorod, before losing 2-1 against Zenit St. Petersburg recently. Silkin has urged his side to take responsibility for the series of unsatisfactory
performances.
Commenting on Dynamo’s opening day defeat against the Volgari, Silkin has lamented the outcome. He has demanded ruthless attack from the Musora strikers, urging them to take their chances in the upcoming matches.
The Russian outfit will play the upcoming European qualifier against Scottish side, Dundee United. Silkin remained adamant to the fact that his side can win the respective tie.
“We have watched Dundee United. The team play smooth football. I think that this club is worthy of respect. We are expecting typical British football from the opponent. We are not afraid of any opponent, whatsoever, we only give
respect.” Silkin was quoted as saying.
Speaking on his possible resignation from the Moscow-based club this summer, Silkin remained tight lipped over the situation.
