Former Dynamo Minsk player vowed not to leave the Russian Premier League club and defended his decision to bench http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andriy-Voronin-c6020.
Dynamo Moscow boss, Sergei Silkin, has insisted that he will never quit as the Dinamiki manager as he will keep trying to find a better solution to the problems at Arena Khimki.
There’s little arguing that the Moscow-based club have dropped excessive points in the Russian Premier League during the third league round, having collected only 4 points in 5 outings.
The Policemen fans turned against the 51-year-old after their humiliating 5-1 league defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg last week. The Dynamo head coach has been the subject of intense scrutiny in recent weeks.
News in Russia had suggested that Yuri Isayev, the Louders president, is lining-up former Zenit manager, d**k Advocaat, to replace Silkin after the Russian outfit dropped down to the fifth spot on the league table.
But Dynamo relieved some of the pressure off Silkin’s shoulders with a battling display in their 2-0 league win against Lokomotiv Moscow. Silkin, after watching a committed performance, has stressed that he would not leave the
Russian outfit despite speculations about his future.
"We do not deserve anything that happened to us in recent weeks. But even with all the objective reasons, the coach has no right to defend his team after repeated failures.
“I have also heard that somebody is going to replace me, but rumours are rumours. I know one thing: coaching fate depends on results. We will keep trying as best as possible to prepare for the remaining matches.” Silkin was quoted
as saying.
Silkin admitted the criticism he has received is painful but pointed out that he has been in a difficult situation, dealing with the injured players in the dressing room.
However, he apologized to the fans and promised them a turnaround by claiming maximum points in the remaining matches of the campaign.
Speaking on his decision to bench Igor Semshov and Andriy Voronin during most of the third league round matches, Silkin revealed that it was a tactical decision and that he wanted to give chances to other players.
