Sergio Aguero does it again - Fantasy Premier League Team of the Week – Part 3
With the Goal Keeper and back four sorted for the Fantasy Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 5, it is now time to turn our attention to the midfield and two strikers and see, if they could match the goal scoring exploits of their defensive counterparts.
Sebastian Larsson (Sunderland)
A revelation for Fantasy Premier League managers while he was at Birmingham, the Sunderland player is continuing his fine point scoring form for his new club.
Earning an impressive 14 point tally in the previous round of matches, Larsson showed just what an asset he can be for any side, be it online or on the pitch.
Luis Nani (Manchester United)
While he may not be the same value as Christiano Ronaldo was when he was playing in the Barclays Premier League, Luis Nani seems to be matching him in the points department.
Another sensational weekend of football from Nani, which included a rocket of a goal against Chelsea, and the Portuguese winger finds himself with another impressive total of 13 points. The feat has made him hot, hot property in the Fantasy transfer market.
Joey Barton (Queens Park Rangers)
There have been many words spoken about Joey Barton, most of them too offensive to share on a public platform. Some regarding his overly aggressive physical style of play, and others regarding his off-the field antics.
However, this weekend he will be spoken off in better light, at least in the Fantasy Premier League world, as he managed to match Manchester United’s winger, Luis Nani’s 13 point tally.
Scott Sinclair (Swansea)
The former Chelsea player has truly found his form for his new club, Swansea, in Gameweek 5 as he managed to rack out an ‘out of the blue’ (yes, that last term was intentional and yes, there was pun intended) performance earning 12 points for the 4.4% of
Fantasy Premier League managers who have the player in their sides.
A goal or an assist always help in the Fantasy Premier League, but both combined can take a team’s points to new heights. The fact is something managers who had Sinclair in their teams will surely be telling everyone.
Moving on now to the tip of the Fantasy Premier League: Team of the Week spear, the Strikers.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Doing pretty much what Spanish striker, Fernando Torres did during his first season with Liverpool, Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has set the Premier League, and the back of the opposition’s net, alight.
Scoring almost for fun at the moment, there is perhaps no player more sought after than the Argentine in the Fantasy Premier League. With another 13 points to follow up the 17 from the previous Gameweek, Aguero is red hot at the moment.
Ayegbeni Yakubu (Blackburn)
Yakubu has played for a fair share of different clubs throughout his career and one thing he has done in each of them, is score goals by the bucket loads.
Continuing that, highly sought after trend, he managed to find the back of the net against Everton on two separate occasions and managed to match both Luis Nani and Sergio Aguero’s tally of 13 points.
