Manchester City’s latest signing, Sergio Aguero is now set to start of his first real competitive game for City, on the bench.
The striker is listed as one of the players to participate in the team’s upcoming community shield games against Manchester United.
It seems like Aguero had been suffering from blisters and hence has only just gone on to start training with the rest of the City squad. For that reason, he isn’t being included in the starting eleven, due to him not having gone through an adequate number
of training sessions with the team.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez is set to be missing in action, when City taken on his former club. The player isn’t going to return from his time off until Monday, which is exactly a day after the Community Shield game.
Despite Manchester City taking this game a little too seriously, United are going to be following manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s approach and won’t pursue the game with too much excitement.
The United manager has claimed the game to be nothing more than a build up to the coming season and hence he has told his team not to get too emotional about the game.
Alex Ferguson, when talking about the upcoming game, is quoted to have said: “I have always viewed the Community Shield as a stepping stone to the first game of the season.
“It’s very easy to get emotional about this type of game but I don’t think we will be changing our policy.
“There may be two or three players who need the game on Sunday.”
Nonetheless, City seem to be taking this game as a real cup final and are already looking to boost their strongest eleven. The team is going to utilize all of its starters for the coming season and won’t be risking using any fringe players in the game.
City have also gone on to reveal the squad list for the upcoming game, which is as follows.
Manchester City squad:
Hart, Richards, Zabaletta, Lescott, Savic, Kompany, Kolarov, Clichy, Boyata, Barry, Milner, De Jong, Silva, Y Toure, Johnson, Wright-Phillips, Balotelli, Dzeko, Aguero, Taylor.
On paper, City’s squad looks to be stronger than it has ever been. The team has ample players to rotate the team and it has plenty of depth in the roster for a change.
All in all, this upcoming game is going to be one of the greatest Community Shield games to ever be played, with both the teams looking to be stronger than they have ever been.
