Sergio Garcia's "gravity drop"?

Question

As a fan of Sergio's naturally i looked on you tube to look at his swing and i notice how his hands just dropped his hand (on one website they called it his gravity drop) and i was wondering if this added (I was thinking either wrist **** or distance) to anything in his swing or did it just bring his club on plane
