Sergio Garcia is not scared of Tiger any more
The Australian Masters will take place on the Victoria Golf Club from the 1th till 14th of November in Melbourne. Just twelve months ago, Tiger Woods won this event and it was the last event Woods was victorious in.
Where at one time, Tiger Woods was a name to be scared of it doesn’t make a difference now. At least it doesn’t seem to affect Sergio Garcia, who will also take part in the Australian Masters.
Both players will tee off against each other in the coming and are hoping to win. This event will surely be a special one for the ex-top cat of golf. Right after this event, the revelations of his scandalous life were revealed to the public.
What were just mere catchy headlines for the media turned Woods life upside down. The ridicule he suffered really affected Tiger’s personal life and his career. Ever since then he hasn’t been quite himself either on course or off course.
Woods posted his career worst when he came in 78th position out of 80 at the World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational where he finished with 18 over par.
Turns out Tiger isn’t the only one who’s having a bad year. Garcia dropped down to number 70 in the World. He has not been in form recently and hasn’t won a tournament since 2008. Garcia is very determined to beat Tiger Woods and doesn’t believe that he
poses the same threat as he once did.
"I think you can never count out a guy like Tiger, one of the greatest players we've ever had in the game and definitely a man to beat and watch", he told reporters."He's maybe not as fearsome, I think that obviously he's gone through his fair share of problems
too, he's trying to get back into it too. At the moment I'm more worried about myself than him".
Sergio took a break from golf in order to figure out why he’s losing form. While assisting Colin Montgomerie in the Ryder Cup, Garcia fell in love with the game again. He said that it’s been great and since he had been playing so much golf, he needed the
game. Now that he is revitalized he feels good and is ready to get back into golf.
With his passion for golf reignited, Garcia is ready to tame any Tiger in order to win the Australian Masters.
