Sergio Pellissier in race to get fit for Napoli clash: Serie A news
Chievo Verona talisman, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Pellissier-c33091, is facing race against time to be fit for the Serie A clash against Napoli.
The Flying Donkeys will host Walter Mazzarri’s men in a midweek clash on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011. Pellissier picked up a leg injury in the 33rd minute of his club’s 2-1 defeat to Parma over the weekend.
The 32-year-old is desperate to take part in the game but remains coy whether he will recover in time to play or not. The Italian international is an extremely important component of his team as he is the leading goal-scorer in
the club’s history.
Talking to the reporters Pellissier said, “I will try to be there and do everything I can to take part, but I have a large bruise that needs to be absorbed. I honestly don’t know if I’m going to make it.”
The former Torino star is vary of Napoli threat and believes that they have some extremely talented players who can guide them to success. The striker is impressed with their performance against Italian Champions, A.C Milan, and
believes that they are currently the best team in the league.
Napoli beat Milan 3-1 thanks to Edinson Cavani’s lovely hat-trick at the Stadio San Paolo over the weekend.

The experienced striker has urged his team-mates to stop conceding goals towards the end of the game. Chievo conceded cheap goals in both of their opening two games against Novara and Parma.
