Serial number its different inside?

there is a sticker inside the xbox on the motherboard is this the serial number?

i know where the serial number is found on the back of the console but its different inside the console so im wondering if the case has been changed at some time

i brought it second hand

No each item has its own # they scan in when building the system dont worry about it

the one inside will be the serial number of the motherboard , the one outside is the serial number of the console as a whole

edit: no the numbers will be different - no need to worry

No, the serial number is not on the motherboard.  This is a number pertaining to the motherboard.

Push open the front USB flap, there should be a sticker with the serial number on there.

Its also located on the back.
