SerialATA or SATA2

I have a Macintosh G5 PPC Dual 2.5ghz....approx 3yrs old. The hard drives are Serial ATA. Can I install SATA2 Hard Drives? What is the difference between Serial ATA and SATA2? Thanks for your help...Dennis...dennbe@netspace.net.au
