Serie A: AC Milan register 3-0 win, Juventus beat Lazio

AC Milan opened a six-point cushion at the top of the Serie A standings with a 3-0 win over Bologna at the weekend while Juventus climbed to second spot with a last gasp winner over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin.
The results in Turin meant that Lazio dropped two places down in the league table with Juventus and Napoli leapfrogging them to claim the 2nd and 3rd spot.
Roma also returned to winning ways at the weekend and climbed one place in the league table to claim the 6th spot with a narrow 1-0 win over relegation threatened Bari.
Roma are still undefeated in the league at their home ground and maintained that record by registering another win on home soil.
Juan claimed the only goal of the game on the 30 minute mark as the strike proved to be the difference between the two sides. Both the sides failed to add to the score line after that.
Sampdoria also put their off the pitch worries behind them as they beat Brescia 1-0 last night. Sampdoria are looking to sack Antonio Cassano for breaching the club’s disciplinary code of conduct and will find out on later today if they
can fire the Italian striker from their ranks.
Mario Beretta scored the only goal of the game as Sampdoria remained at 8th position in the league.
Newly promoted Lecce gave themselves some hope in the season as they beat Chievo Verona 3-2 at the weekend while a hat trick from Nene saw Cagliari beat 9-man Catania 3-0 on Sunday.
AC Milan were the biggest winners in the Italian Serie A as they extended their lead at the top of the standing with a 3-0 win over Bologna. Kevin-Prince Boateng gave the Ronneneri an early lead in the 8th minute of the game
when he finished from close range.
Robinho then increased the advantage, after he was given a rare start in AC Milan colours by coach Massimo Allegri and Zlatan Ibrahimovic continued his impressive scoring form as he made the three points safe with another goal on the hour
mark.
The match of the weekend was played between Lecce and Chievo at the Via Del Mare where the hosts edged out a closely fought encounter.
Lecce surprised all and sundry when the took the lead in the 16th minute through Ofere and Piatti doubled their advantage on the stroke of half time to make sure the home side went into the break with a 2 goal lead.
Verona hit back after the break and Bogliacino reduced the arrears in the 54th minute but Piatti added another on 79 minutes to make sure of all three points but a late goal in the 90th minute by Mandelli set up a
tantalising final few minutes but Lecce held on to win the game 3-2.
Lecce still remains in the bottom three of the Serie A but are now level on points with Brescia
with 15 points.
Milos Krasic was the hero for the Bianconeri as he grabbed a last minute winner for Juventus after the two sides were tied at 1-1 going into the final minute but Krasic scored from close range in the dying seconds of the game to help his
side climb to second spot in the league.
Giorgio Chiellini had put the hosts ahead in the 2nd minute of the game but Mauro Zarate pegged them back with a goal 10 minutes later but Krasic grabbed the headlines with a late winner.
