A club is only as good as the people it keeps. The fates of clubs have swung depending on the choice of players that they make to induct or let go every transfer window, and this season was no different. Some sides rose to new
heights while some imploded in the season much to the credit or discredit of the new players.
In this series we will have a look at some of the finest transfers of the season, and what is that has helped them make their way into the list.
1. Andrea Pirlo (Juventus)
The top transfer of the season is ironically the biggest disappointment of the season as well. The revelation of the season was netted by Juventus for no money as a free agent (unbelievable).
However, the player was abandoned by rivals AC Milan at the end of the last season (shocking), allowing him to be picked up by their rivals Juventus. Since his transfer to the Bianconeri, the player has gone from strength to strength,
and has played a central role in the Old Lady’s recent rise to Serie A supremacy.
Champions AC Milan will wonder the cost of letting loose a player, the class of the Italian who is on the verge to not only cost them the season, but also seems bent on costing Massimiliano Allegri his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
The veteran has scored three goals and another 11 assists for the Turin giants this season, and is the backbone of the Bianconeri’s play on the field and is a living testament to the age old adage; Old is gold.

The capital club is in the hunt for a Champions League place, and Miroslav Klose is the reason they are there. His story is similar to that of Pirlo, as the 33-year-old was let go by German giants, Bayern Munich, allowing Lazio
to capture the experienced striker at the first opportunity.
Although, this is his first stint outside his homeland, the striker has shown no signs of homesickness, and has made his presence known to the world through some impeccable display in front of the opposition goal. The striker has
risen up to be the premier striking option for the team, and has scored 13 goals and five assists in the 26 appearances for the Biancazzurri this season.
The attacker was acquired by the Rome outfit for almost nothing, but the value he has delivered to the club makes him one of the most lucrative acquisitions of the season, just behind Pirlo.

The Chilean was acquired by the Old Lady from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported sum of €12.5 million on a five-year contract. The midfielder made his debut for the Bianconeri in a game against Parma, as a substitute and scored his
first goal for the team just six minutes into the game.
Since the dazzling debut, the playmaker has never looked back and has gone from strength to strength, taking Juventus with him. The striker is already being considered a replacement for legend Andrea Pirlo, and has been labelled
the corner stone of the Old Lady’s impenetrable defence in the league. Considering the modest price of the player, and the amazing feats he has achieved in his first season for Juventus, the Chilean is placed third in our list of the best signings for the
season.
