Serie A Breaking News: Zlatan Ibrahimovic officially signs AC Milan contract after his medical
The Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed in the official papers that he would start his career with the San Siro based club AC Milan.
The papers were signed in after the Swedish international passed his medical examination for his new Italian club.
Though the player has been signed in on loan but AC Milan will decide by the end of the season, if a permanent deal can take place. Officials from the club have already announced that they have intentions of signing the world class player and chances are in favour of AC Milan that they will end up with by the end of the season if not before.
One reason for that is the ugly departure of the Swiss from Nou Camp. The Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola commented that although he admired the talent of the player; he would no longer be requiring his services and that is because is his current team is simply too star studded.
While Ibra was guaranteed parts in the season, they were just not in respect to his level and calibre, and therefore Ibra wanted more. He asked for a couple of clubs to place a bid for him and soon got his wish after some tough negotiations. Now on loan, he will have to prove himself in order to keep his respect this season.
It has to be noted that since the Swedish international played for Ajax in 2003; the club he plays for hasn’t lost a single league title. After Ajax Ibra joined Juventus and from there he was transferred to Inter Milan, after that he came to Barcelona.
The 28-year-old Ibrahimovic cleared his medical on Monday after which the signing of papers was scheduled along with a photo session and press conference. Officials from the Italian club confirmed that next season they will be signing Ibra from Barca permanently at 24 million Euros.
Ibra has arrived to AC Milan at his expense, as he faces a 10% deficit in his salary. Ibra has commented on his departure from Catalonia saying that it has been very disappointing for him. He even stated that the Barca manager Guardiola destroyed his dream of becoming Barca’s finest.
On his future with AC Milan Ibra stated, “I have come here to win. I am sure we will win. I will not leave this team until we have won. I believe we are the strongest team in Italy and one of the strongest in the world.”
He also told that he admired the players he was about to play with at Rossenori, “Pato and Ronaldinho are fantastic. I hope to score more than 25 goals. The important thing is, nevertheless, to win.”
The players from AC Milan were happy at his arrival too. AC Milan star striker Pato stated, “I am happy about his arrival. Every one of us waited for it. We can win everything with him. A great champion has arrived and now the coach will decide how to make us play.”
